Systematic Refurbishment

The Weserland portfolio includes all products in the area of the seat, back and head upholstery, as well as the corresponding armrests, cushions and covers of all kinds, plus wooden armrests, wireframes for seat foams, and vandalism protection against destruction.

The offer is rounded off by the refurbishment of entire carriage sets by our specialists, who supervise the re-design and refurbishment for the entire duration of the project.

Dismantling

A quick turnaround, especially of trains and buses, requires a quick start in dismantling the old systems. Nevertheless, the dismantling and assembly of entire sets of carriages take – on average – no more than ten working days.

Renewal, Refurbishment
and Re-Design

In order to conserve resources and act in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly manner, the old upholstery supports are cleaned for reuse, wooden armrests are sanded down and re-varnished, and old seat frames and other metal parts are given a new powder coating. Of course, this also includes the renewal of seat, back and head cushions as well as the associated armrests, as well as cushions and covers of any kind.

Re-Assembly

Once the refurbishment – complying with all the requirements of modern fire protection – and the re-design have been completed, the ‘new’ seating systems are installed at full speed. Thus the installation adapts to the tight, customer-oriented circulation for contemporary refurbishment.

Flame protection systems play a decisive role in these safety-relevant areas. Weserland develops, plans and produces individual single as well as comprehensive solutions – the focus being on the needs of customers at home and abroad.

The requirements of DIN EN 45545-2 are perfectly complied with by the flexible foam WLI 600 as well as the integral foam WLI, developed by Weserland itself and certified in accordance with the standards.

In addition, due to the high flame protection requirements, special cover fabrics (usually textiles or leather), developed with our partners and also certified, are used as well as – if necessary – additional fire retardants developed in-house.

The Weserland Interiors (WLI ) division has emerged from many years of expertise in this field.
